The promoter of the Christopher University, Translucent Management Services, has for many years noted the yawning gap that exists between industry and the academia. At various times, it has successfully established very strong and robust linkages between the private sector and the academia with emphasis on capacity building and management training. This stride was a very strong motivation for the establishment of a university, with strong emphasis on the management sciences, that relies on linkages with the corporate world, locally and internationally. This close collaboration and consultation between academia and industry will lead to the development and establishment of high level management training programs relevant to the immediate and future manpower needs of the corporate world and the public sector.
