Finance, Administration and HR Manager

A. Mines Advisory Group International · Nigeria

Full time On site
description Job Description
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in over 40 countries. We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention. In Nigeria, MAG programming aims to reduce armed violence by addressing risks related to explosive ordnance (EO) and the illicit proliferation of small arms and light weapons (SALW). Specifically, MAG projects aim to enhance local engagement and safety awareness regarding SALW and EO through community-based activities and support locally-driven AVR initiatives; capacity-build state agencies to prevent and respond to the spread of illicit SALW proliferation, through the safe and effective storage and management of weapons and ammunition; increase state capacity to individually and collaboratively address risks related to SALW and ammunition.
